US-Canada Coalitition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong

Third Announcement (CIPFG) - As of February 12, 2007, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) has been established in four continents around the world, with chapters in Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America. To date (Feb. 25), these four CIPFG chapters total 301 members worldwide.

CIPFG members are people concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong from all walks of life. They include legislators at federal, state, and local levels of governments, religious and community leaders, medical doctors and organ transplant specialists, international human rights attorneys and criminal defense lawyers. Some members are non-government organizations and others are individuals concerned about human rights and social justice. As more people learn about CIPFG , membership continues to grow.

The CIPFG aims to thoroughly investigate allegations of the Chinese Communist Party’s widespread practice of murdering Falun Gong adherents and taking their organs for substantial sums. Our mission is to expose any such acts of genocide in Mainland China and stop the killing of innocent Falun Gong practitioners while working to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Getting inside China’s borders to investigate and obtain first-hand evidence is an important component of the CIPFG mission. Many government and international organizations have expressed concern over the organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and have shown their support for our efforts.

The evidence published recently by Canadian investigators on January 31 provides us with an even stronger case. We have sufficient reasons why the Chinese communist government must open up for inspection the places where Falun Gong practitioners are detained. Many CIPFG members are prepared to enter China for an investigation very soon. All CIPFG members plan to work tirelessly until this persecution is stopped.

CIPFG chapters in Australia and Asia each wrote independently to related Chinese government agencies in December 2006. It has been more than one month and there has not been any response from the Chinese government. We believe that the Chinese regime must respond to CIPFG’s requests positively and immediately. Human lives are on the line, we cannot spare any time.

Olympics and genocide and organ harvesting cannot take place at the same time in China. We will make every effort to ensure that the Olympic tradition of respect for human lives and human dignity is preserved and the severe persecutory measures waged against Falun Gong practitioners stopped.
